Pakbeng Guesthouse

So close to the pier, good aircon next to all the restaurants/bars in Pakbeng. Bed was incredibly comfy with a great selection of food for the night and day afterwards. The staff were incredibly helpful and ran to the Slowboat to give me back my GoPro as I had left it in the room!

Not fancy or very clean or anything, but it works perfect when you are just satying for one night while waiting for the boat. Cheap and close to the pier. Nice staff and they have a restaurant with good dinner, breakfast and take-away lunch. Recommend to book before you go on the boat.

This was the closest guesthouse to the pier, so perfect for the slow boat. The room was very basic with a cold shower. They do reasonably priced takeaway bakery items and sandwiches which you can take on the boat journey. For the price it was worth it as we heard of more expensive places which offered the same experience.
