Pro's: Location in the old part of Vientiane, Easy walk to the Mekong River area, Lot's of places to eat and drink. It's a haven for anyone seeking cheap, basic, low-budget style accomodation Con's: Staff speak very basic English, Breakfast very basic (however the hot French bread rolls were great) Comments: There is not much to write about this venue. We had no choice with staying here since it was part of a tour. It's an average, cheap place for a short stay

We ended up in this great hotel as all the guest houses we previously checked had no vacancy. So the receptionist gave us quite a good price (17 USD per room per night, no breakfast) and we got a king size bed (very comfortable mattress), AC, wi-fi router in every floor, and a balcony - exactly as seen in the picture, presenting this hotel. All in all we were very happy with our stay. The only thing I missed was a hand soap and a second towel. For future guests: for the time of our stay, rooms nr. 108, 208 and 308 were the rooms with a balcony. We have seen another room but it had no window, so we're not sure if other rooms are as good as those with balconies.

I couldn't believe the room was only $20 when the kid at the desk showed it to me. Balcony, big room, big bed. My only complaint was the noise - there were some very noisy dogs barking throughout the night, and street traffic, even though it is a side street, was a problem. A side note, on more than a few occasions I would go downstairs and there would be no one at the front desk. There would be people waiting to check in or wanting to find out about a room, and they would wait for 1/2 hour or more and just give up and leave. A bonus, also close to Noy's fruit Heaven, a great fruit shake/breakfast hangout joint, just around the corner.
