A well known hotel in the restaurant part of town frequented by locals and close to the (not tourist) shopping area, the hotel is part of the first hotels built in Vientiane, a part of history, built in the traditional Thai / Lao timber design slowly disapearing in Asia, if you stay here you will be welcomed by Vue the hotel manager who speaks good English and will assist you with any needs, if you arrive at night you will be welcomed by Bie, a student working the night shift, although he speaks English well he welcomes conversation to improve his English skills, the rooms are well apointed with solid timber furniture, hot showers, tv, a/c and fan, a safe is found in the wardrobe, cannot find any faults, the hotel also has an elevator to all floors, a free breakfast is provided, i have staid in many hotels in Vientiane, i really enjoyed staying here. Although the main tourist area is located at the night market, it could be a 15 minute walk but who walks in Vientiane, from the hotel to the night market is a short tuk tuk (took took) ride away, the locals pay 30000 kip, i pay 40000, that's the fare don't pay more, welcome to Vientiane, enjoy your stay.

Conveniently located in the centre of Vientiane, this place was excellent and staff very friendly. The building has character and is well maintained, and the area is very safe and a short stroll from attractions.
