Old hotel and dark question room. The rooms deserve some maintenance and hot water would be nice for the shower. You shouldn't look at the details... Appreciable common areas: reception, restaurant, swimming pool and gym.

This is an older hotel in a good, quiet location near the river. All the facilities are up to a reasonable standard. My room was a good size with comfortable bed, desk, seating, and wifi. However there were problems. At check in the receptionist could not find my reservation. I had to call my local agent to get this resolved. The TV in my room did not work. In fact the cable that is supposed to connect it to the wall outlet was dangling in full view, with its connector so frayed and cracked that it has obviously been unusable for some time. The buffet breakfast was OK -- mostly local dishes -- but there was almost no fruit. I see that several previous reviewers have lamented this deficiency, but the hotel is not listening. There was an abunance of various fruits in the local markets. At check out I was told that everything was paid and I had no charges. I pointed out that I had not been charged for laundry. I then had to wait for several minutes while the receptionist located the laundry list and then added up the items to present a final bill. So, there is scope for improvement.

Aging hotel but in view of the reviews spacious room overlooking the pool so quiet. Friendly staff. Decent breakfast. Hotel right next to the night market a plus and well located to make a lot of discovery on foot
