Villa That Luang Guesthouse

This place makes me feel like home, quiet and warm. Its location is good; near Pra That Luang Temple and Thai Spa. I stayed there for 6 months and had a chance to join the nice traditional events. The staffs there are really nice and supportive.

This small family run place was very comfortable. Breakfast was not included in the $18/night price, but was available for 30,000 LAK (about $3.25) per person. The only drawback to staying here was the 15-20 minute walk into the main part of Vientiane, as well as the total lack of local eateries anywhere nearby. This is too bad, because the owner was very friendly and accommodating. So unless everywhere else in town is booked up, we couldn’t recommend staying here.
