Avalon Hotel

There is no reason to stay in this hotel - Vientiane has plenty of other decent reasonably priced options. The only reason we ended up here was because a tour company booked it for us. The staff aren't very friendly. The property is soulless. The bedrooms aren't very big. The breakfast was barely adequate (as in not a lot of it). The location is pretty good. But the biggest problem is that the aircon isn't strong enough. The bedrooms were unpleasantly warm, and therefore difficult to sleep in as well. No matter how good a price you get offered - go elsewhere.

I booked with the AGODA for this hotel, one room from Dec. 02 - 04, 2019 after seeing the photos and reviews on AGODA website and page which showed 4 star ratings and facilities while booking but the room I found was a very small, dingy and without essential amenities and not one which I was showed in photos. On Agoda and hotel website you will find photos of other property Avalon B & B as well (like swimming pool) to confuse you. Will definitely not visit again!

Avalon hotel is located near almost everything you will need in Vientiane such as pharmacy, supermarket, dining areas and of course the famous Mekong Hotel. It is just 10 minutes away from Wattai airport and the taxi drivers know the location. Breakfast is composed of fruits in season , eggs , bread,coffee or tea. While in Vientiane or just passing by Avalon Hotel is a good choice. Lift is available as well.
