Khamkhoun Hotel

They tried to charge us so expensive, the place looked nice from outside but the room look poor and dirty,we cant believe i paid that money for that terrible room,they even charge you 60.000k for the bus to Vang Vieng,Just catch a tuk tuk to the bus station,you will get it for 35-40,000 k.. Never come back and dont stay there.

Arrived at around 10:30 pm Shown to the room. (Which was about the only good thing they done) Moldy rooms, mosquito's everywhere and they ripped us off on the bus saying it was a vip that's why it was more expensive but it was just a mini bus. Not worth the money we paid. Shame cause it has got quite a bit of potential.

Paid for a room through priceline.com, when I showed up at the hotel they told me they didn't have any way to confirm that I'd paid, I'd have to pay again. I showed them the booking information that clearly said "Paid". They said they don't get any information about online bookings, and they stopped doing business with priceline because people cancel reservations too often. I ended up paying again because it was late and I needed sleep. The room was in bad disrepair, furniture was rotten to the point where it needed replacing. The bed was fairly comfortable though. The internet was terrible, and there was no hot water, so I had to take a cold shower. The staff was fairly courteous and nice.
