Khamphone Guesthouse

A basic hotel for the area. Well located. Rooms clean. You need to hand your key in at the front desk to get your room cleaned each day, otherwise it won’t be. Breakfast is eggs, eggs or eggs. I only tried the omelette, which was surprisingly nice, but you can choose scrambled or fried as well.

The hotel was very basic. Man at reception spoke good English but wasn’t very welcoming. Very good location for backpackers. Big Spacious room seemed fairly clean, room wasn’t made up or given new towels during our stay.

As already mentioned by other travelers, the hotel has a better quality than the guesthouse and is more accepted. The room are spacious and clean due to shiny stone floor. The special house rule gives you the opportunity to use housekeeping only if you like it and you hang out at the door knob a request sign. No breakfast will be served, but you have free tea or coffe at the open entrance area till 10:00h – after that you have to pay 5000kip for that self-service. Every open floor has a kind of balcony from where you have a great view to the lovely mountain scenery and sunset. If I would come again to Vang Vieng, I would stay here again.
