Eiropa Hotel

Made a reservation for a wheelchair friendly room ( like it said on the site) asked for a shower cabin. The same day (April) I receive a mail from the hotel, mentioning it would be taken care of. The day of arrival (July) I go up to the receptionist because the entrance was quite small for a wheelchair. Without greeting, they tell me that they have no room for us. ( they unintentionally told us they have been trying to find a solution since the morning of arrival) I asked why they’ve been trying to fix it ONLY THET DAY. Not earlier. They couldn’t answer it. They could give us a room in another building at the 2nd floor ( no lift) I realised that they are doing nothing useful to find a solution. Me and my family were very tired and annoyed, to say the least. I was on the point of crying and ready to fly back home. I went to our hotel of last year with no concrete plan, asking if they had a room available by any chance. They didn’t, but they called another hotel right away. There was a room available. I went straight to the adres and booked a room. A strange hotel helped us perfectly within 10min, despite not staying at their hotel. We are very grateful for the hotel that did help us, and the hotel we are staying at now. If it wasn’t for them, we would have been on the streets. The hotel booked in April is VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL TO WHEELCHAIR USERS.

We stayed there three nights . I think its overpriced. The old part of the hotel is beatiful, but the newer one, where we stayed is ugly. ( Maybe from 70'ties) . Blindingcurtains in the room were broken. Had to force them down. Curtain in the door was missing. No fridge in the room. Soundproofing dont exist. Although hotel has very good location between beach and the street were all the restaurants are. Breakfast was ok, mut they did not refill ali the items. Breakfast is supposed to be untill eleven, but its better be there like at nine o'clock, if you want deacent breakfast. First morning they did not refill orange juice after ten. Only the cheaper juice was available. Next morning same thing. I told to the staff and they say, its out. When i told, so, same like yesterday, the staff claimed " i can assure you that its only been refilled, if it was empty ". Well, I sat there about 45mins and it never came in that time. Mind you, this place is small. But i guess customer is wrong in this place.

Stayed ar the hotel for there evenings. Location was fantastic. Close to the Dzintari concert Hall and the seaside beach. All of the bedrooms were located in a building behind the beautiful mansion. Rooms were adequate but small. Even though the rooms was for two, ir contained One chair, One balcony chair, One glass. The television was from the 1990's (the large tube type that nobody owns anymore) and only had Russian language broadcasts (I thought Jūrmala was a part of Latvia). Breakfast was good būt inadequate for the price being charged. Staff was helpful and polite.
