Overall, we had a pleasant stay at The Katerina Hotel in Batu Pahat. The hotel is conveniently located and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The swimming pool and gym are also nice facilities for guests to relax and exercise. One area that could be improved is the availability of power sockets in the rooms. There were limited sockets for guests to use for charging personal devices, and we had to unplug the bedside light in order to charge our phones. Having more easily accessible power points, especially beside the beds, would be much more convenient for guests. The hotel has an older feel, and some of the room furnishings and facilities could benefit from upgrading. Nevertheless, the rooms were generally comfortable and suitable for a short stay. I would also like to compliment the reception staff for their good service. As we had stayed in 9 rooms, I was unable to list down all the room numbers during check-out. The reception staff were understanding and helpful, and allowed us to proceed with the check-out without making the process difficult. Overall, The Katerina Hotel offers a comfortable stay with good service and reasonable facilities. With some improvements to the room facilities, especially the power sockets and general room upgrades, the hotel could provide an even better experience.

Wow I saw a review dated 2014 which complained about the WiFi in the rooms. Now 12 yrs later it's still the same despite all the progress in telecommunications in the country. I just tested the WiFi in the room and the download speed is 0.6 Mbps, upload speed 2.1 Mbps. I've been staying here on and off over several years and despite very strong complaints they have not bothered to improve on this. The staff are pretty nice n apologetic. So it basically reflects badly on the Management who just DON'T BOTHER, probably bcos the hotel is doing good business as it's the only hotel in their category in town. Complacent lazy management who will result in failure of the hotel the moment there is competition by a new hotel in its category.

We would like to add some reviews concerning our 3-day stay in The Katerina Hotel. 1)We request a smoking room for the 5 rooms that we booked. Upon arrival, we did not receive any. 2) During our registration, the staff did not follow the details of our passports. Only the 3rd time then the documents have been filled accurately. 3) The cost of the breakfast that was stated in our document is RM30. But the receptionist said RM35. Not sure what is going here but kinda disappointed.
