BEWARE OF EXTREMELY NARROW PARKIKG RAMPS. - when you drive up at Parkroyal Carpark you are directed by signs if you have a biggger car to park at Pan Pacific suites which is in the same collection of buildings. I I have a 2024 Honda CRV which is a broad SUV. Up to level 6 of the carpark it’s just about a manageable width of the ramps to drive up. But after that it suddenly and without warning narrows. It was NERVE WRACKIKG!! And my brand new 6 month old car was badly dented!!! There is padding placed at the corners of the ramp. Most were shredded as other cars must have scraped along them too. This happened on 24 July 2025. I had messaged a Ms Lydia - I was there as a juror for MIFFEST Malsysia Interbstinsl Film Festival - which has its receptions there. The reception was very well done. But…. Ms Lydia was unhelpful regarding my traumatic experience. . Refused to give the GM’s contact after itvwas clear she was not going to do anything. Just said it’ is Pan Pacific’s carpark. So nothing to with her hotel. BUT I was attending a function at her hotel and following instructions given by Parkroyal to park there. I senn her pictures of the dented door and the repair bill which came up to RM600. All she said was she has parked at higher floors and no one else has complained. I guess suggesting I’m making this up or I’m a bad driver. I’m Surprised there were no other complaints as the cramps really are shockingly narrow. After level z6. And scratch marks on the walls and corners indicated other cars must’ve met the same fate. I am posting this now as I had got caught up With other things. But was back there recently for another reception. I took a grab this time!! I tried to message Ms lydia again to see if they have put signs to warn drivers of broader cars to not go beyond level 6. Didn’t get a reply. So I thought I had best warn guests myself!

I recently stayed at the Parkroyal Collection Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The staff on arrival were friendly and helpful, however, when we went to have our "welcome drink" at the Botanist Bar, the wait staff were hopeless. We ordered our cocktails; mine arrived, however, it was about 10 minutes before my friend's cocktail arrived. We ordered some food and the waitress did not seem to understand - it was chicken satay and tempura prawns. She asked if she could take the menu. We waited at least another 15 minutes until the satay arrived. Another 20 or more minutes and we still hadn't received the prawns. When we called another waiter over, he said there was a mix up in the kitchen and offered us another cocktail on the house. After another lengthy wait, the manager came over and apologised and said we would get the prawns in 10 minutes - which we didn't. Our patience ran out and we said we would not wait any longer and paid our bill - no apology from anyone. On a brighter note, we had access to the Club Lounge. On our first visit, we met Kapil, the drink waiter. What a joy he was. We had cocktail hour in the lounge every night and he remembered our drink order and had the best sense of humour. I also must mention the other bar staff - Kushal, Bicky, Jon, Jessica and Hakimi. Such a credit to the hotel. I wish them all the very best for their futures.
