Parkhotel Helmstedt

I booked the 2 rooms by phone—at check-in, we found out upon asking that "we haven't offered breakfast for about a year." That is, of course, information that should be communicated to guests in advance. (The fact that one could go/drive to a sister hotel for breakfast is not really an adequate solution.) There are a few more things... but since we only returned late and slept briefly & well, we'll leave it at that... but we won't be coming back.

The Parkhotel is a very good hotel. We arrived by train and it is within walking distance about 15 minutes to the station. The reception and service are the friendly, dogs are very welcome and are also greeted friendly. It is a romantic old building, the rooms are spacious and clean, modernized but the flair has remained. Breakfast is very varied and extensive with very good quality. The center is less than 10 minutes and restaurants there are obvious enough choices. We will gladly come back when the opportunity presents itself. Many thanks to the team

A little older hotel, fresh room and bathroom. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location, close to restaurants. Free parking at the hotel.
