Strawberry Park Resort

The apartment was nice as well as the breakfast. There’s limited space to sit outside though. The wifi was terrible. And the pool depressing. The tea plantations and forest in Cameron Highlands are beautiful, but it is so busy and touristic that I would skip in coming to Malaysia.

Maybe we did not properly manage our expectations but the Strawberry Park was a disappointment. A beautiful location up the hill and it may have been a great place someday. Today the rooms and good bedding are the positives, and the great service from the tour agency in the lobby. For the rest we felt a bit lost and confused and the large groups of agency booked Dutch tourist groups did not help. We left early.

The property sits on a beautiful hilltop in the lovely Cameron Highlands. There are great views of the valley, and the grounds are well kept. This is a sprawling property composed of several buildings. # No elevators on the grounds. We were on the 3rd floor, and had to climb multiple flights of stairs. # They have self service laundry, which is nice while visiting Malaysia. They have 2 washers and 2 dryers. For some unclear reasons, only one of the washer/dryer duos takes coins (the other takes Malaysian cash app payments - not credit card). Very annoying and odd for a tourist hotel. # 2 restaurants were open for dinner when we were there - dinner buffet and a Chinese a la carte - Given that we had Chinese for lunch,so had the dinner fuffet. Very average food. Given the location on a remote hilltop, it is a trek to fin ooter dining opitons. # One of our group members got a Mojito. This was not listed as a mocktail, but was in fact a mocktail. Needs to be better described. # This has been commented on for other reviews, but the property feels old. I enjoyed this feel, with the giant rooms and older furnishings. If you are looking for something modern, woud find a different location. # We enjoyed playing ping pong in the courtyard. There is a $50 deposit. Not a bad place to stay, but no unreasonable to researcch additonal properties.
