AC Hotel Kuantan

**Title:** Comfortable Stay with Room for Minor Improvements I recently stayed at AC Marriott Kuantan for one night with my wife, and overall we had a pleasant experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and cozy, which made for a relaxing stay. However, we noticed that the shampoo dispenser had not been refilled, which was a small oversight that housekeeping could improve. The breakfast was enjoyable, and the quality of the food was good. While the variety was somewhat limited, I understand that this is a Select brand rather than a luxury brand, so the selection was reasonable. One area that could be improved is the in-room entertainment. There were only a limited number of TV channels available, and it would be great if the hotel could upgrade to Smart TVs so guests can access streaming services. Overall, we had a good stay and would consider returning. With a few small improvements, the experience could be even better.

My experience was disappointing from start to finish. The room service was poor—I called to request cutlery to be sent to my room, but it never arrived despite waiting for a long time. The room was also not properly prepared. I booked the room for 2 adults, yet only one toothbrush was provided. Another issue was the elevator. Waiting for the lift took an unusually long time, even though the hotel only has six floors. It made getting around the hotel unnecessarily frustrating. These may seem like small issues, but together they reflect a lack of attention to guest experience and service quality. I expected a much better standard from AC Hotel, but unfortunately, this stay did not meet my expectations.

We stayed at AC Hotel Kuantan on Tuesday, 2nd June, with my wife. Overall, the experience was acceptable, but several aspects fall short of expectations for a hotel of this standard. Breakfast was particularly disappointing. The selection is extremely limited, especially for guests with food allergies or dietary restrictions. Practically speaking, the only safe options available were white bread and sunny-side-up eggs. There was a clear lack of effort to cater to diverse dietary needs, which makes the breakfast feel basic rather than thoughtfully prepared. The swimming pool experience is also underwhelming. It closes early at 7pm, which feels restrictive considering the small size of the pool. Timing is everything for guests who prefer a quieter swim, but the early closure removes that flexibility entirely. On top of that, the pool layout is poorly designed—situated in full view of the lobby and restaurant area, with constant foot traffic passing by. This results in a complete lack of privacy, making the experience less relaxing than it should be. Parking is another clear limitation. Spaces are only available directly in front of the hotel and are very limited. During higher occupancy, this could easily become inconvenient or stressful for guests returning by car. In summary, while the hotel is serviceable for a short stay, the overall facilities and guest experience feel constrained and not fully aligned with expectations, particularly in terms of comfort, privacy, and practicality.
