DUTA VILLAGE BEACH RESORT

The resort probably pass it high days. The room is bit old fashioned. Air conditioned took time to cool up. Our toilet basin tap cannot be close properly and water keep running albeit at low speed. Wasting the water bill. Parking is plenty. This is a last minute booking. 6pm book for arrival at 10:30pm. We were on the LPT highway when booking. Staffs is calling us to confirm and they wait for us to arrive. People doing the family day here. Swimming pool bit tiny and the pool bar is closed. Finding breakfast outside is easy if you have own car. There is Rapid Kuantan bus running through the main road. Beach is nice view for the sunrise. You got partial benefit of resort facilities and direct access to the beach. But paying 2x more at the Swiss Garden, I prefer this one for 1-2 nights pad.

This place is a total lie. Whatever posted/displayed in the website was the old ones. This place has so much potential because of its location and the amenities. But it wouldn't reach its true potential because of a very poor management. The toilet has no pipe hose,very dirty, lizard poops are everywhere,everytime we flushed the toilet there will be a rise of septic tank smell. There was no hook to place the shower head. Water heater not functioning. There were ants everywhere,the floor was gritty and full of sands,the bedsheets and towels were smelly,the door hinges were rusty and made a very noisy sound upon opening and closing. I guess other than the location with a beach view,this place offers nothing. And one funny thing that we really don't understand (the owner?manager?) Who is a malay guy came to the pool side and instructed all the guests,to pick and arrange the slipper at the edge of the pavement. He seems to be very OCD and persistent about it and until now we dont get the answer for it.(what is the significant ??) We paid for 2 nights (8-10september) for 2 deluxe chalet and gonna check out today and change to other hotel. We just couldn't bare the rubbish that this so-called 3 star resort offered.

A beautiful setting with lovely tree cover and direct access to the beach. Nice place to hang out and enjoy the sea breeze. We stayed in the chalets which are close walking distance to the beach. Though the downside is that the resort is definitely aged and old. Floor board creaks when walked on and low water pressure. If you don't have too much of an expectation, then this place is great. Plus points: location, greenery and access to the beach
