Do NOT stay here! I went for a conference in late November-early December 2025 and the hotel did not have keys for the rooms! We had to message someone to let us in. We thought we would give it a try for one night thinking it couldn't be that bad, and we were told it could possibly be fixed in the next day or 2. However, it was really inconvenient and the person never checked our IDs to verify we were the ones actually staying in that room, which just made us feel unsafe (and it was a different person each time). We also found out that this had been a problem for 2 weeks prior to us checking in (and we were not notified of this beforehand) and would possibly not be fixed for another week. My friend and I decided to check out after the first night and I was told I would be receiving a refund. It is now March 2026 and I have not received the refund despite reaching out a number of times. I am beyond angry and I should not have to wait for 4 months just to get my money back that I was promised by the hotel. I have attached a copy of the paperwork I was given as proof (yet again). Completely unprofessional and a terrible way to run a business.

as usual, whenever im in penang, i would book this hotel..great location, nice big rooms..but same problem as the last trip i came..Many outsiders(not stayin in the hotel) are using the pool..they park in lower lobby and straight to the pool, jumping in with their baju kurungs, jeans..not clean at all..hotel should have a staff at the pool to monitor this (so obvious when u see people jumping in with jeans)..maybe a parking attendant as well to make sure outsiders are only going to visit the laguna bar..
