Promenade Service Apartments

Location: easy access to all places in Kota kinabalu. it is located at the center of the kota kinabalu town. Near to Oceanus shopping mall / night market. A lot of markets / self laundry / shop / restaurant at the ground floor. Parking: provided at the basement, if you staying here and drive a car, only RM 2 per day for parking - ask receptionist regarding this. Accomodation: i had comfortable stays here despite physically the building looks dodgy and run down. the rooms equipped with complete needs. every block guarded by security at ground floor. you can request iron and microwave from the receptionist. the rooms and toilet are clean and most important things good value for money! Lift also available here. service: the reception open 24 hours. i arrived this hotel at 1am, the staff very friendly and very helpful. the housekeeping staffs clean up the room and collect the thrash everyday.

We stayed in Block 2, Studio unit with pantry. Room was spacious and clean, had a balcony. The balcony was facing other units. So, promenade service apartment is located within a housing apartment. Promenade has around 150 units within theses 3 blocks of residential apartment. The block closest to the lobby of promenade is Block 3, followed by by Block 2 (3 minute walk) and Block 1 (5 minute walk) After reading the reviews here on tripadvisor, my expectation of the hotel was set at a low standard, however i was pleasantly surprised as the room was comfortable, the airconditioning was superb. They cleaned our room everyday and changed the towels too !! Promenade is centrally located, very near to all the major attractions in KK. 5 minutes to Phillipino market, 5 minutes to night life, 8 minutes to Jesselton point etc. We rented a car for 4 days so it was easy to get around. Parking at promenade is RM2 per entry, however you will have to get the validation slip from recetion before exciting the basement carpark. There are 24 hour eateries located at the same row as the hotel lobby, There is a 7 eleven, speed mart and a pub located there as well. The rooms can be a little difficult to find as such the recception will provide you with a map on how to get to your rooms. Overall experience was great !! i will definitely come back and stay here.

My wife booked this hotel for ourselves and friends because we just need a place near to airport to stay for few hours. Two calls were made to confirm the status of booking and the reservation dept has confirm the booking. We reached the apartment about 1am and check in. Somehow the staff told us there is no records at our booking. After some argument, the staff gave us some rooms with bad attitude. Some room conditions are terrible and with dust/spiderweb. Some rooms water heater doesn't work or no water supply at all. The whole apartment seems like a cheap apartment and with weird smell at the corridor. Feel dangerous to walk alone since some area is dark and with water leak. AVOID staying at this apartment even is a short stay.
