D'Coconut Lagoon

Help... This was probably the worst resort I have ever gone to. If you could rate it a zero, I would. The only fun part of it was the scuba diving experience with the coach. He made the whole experience more fun for me and my family. For the rest of it, it was horrible the resort itself was really old and not kept after. There was another part to the resort that wasn't any better, and the path that connects them was a junk yard. For the room itself, there was a mountain of trash bags next to us, also there were missing paintings, scratches everywhere and the bathroom was even worse, since it was really dirty, as shown in the pictures. But the view was OK. Another problem that made the rating go down is that there was no water in the beginning, and also many people used the same water supply, making others not have water to shower or to use. They did not even come clean the room while we were out. They also never came to change towels or other thing. Overall, this place sucks. CHOOSE THIS PLACE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

We wanted to give you some honest feedback about our stay at Dcoconut Lagoon which we find it quite disappointing. There are a few issues which we would like to bring to your attention. Please see below . After arriving at the resort , we had to wait for about 2 hours before we can check in to our room. I had no choice but to use the toilet below the restaurant and the toilet was extremely dirty and smelly. The funky smell from that toilet is constant throughout the day and it can be felt even from around the pool area. We finally checked in to our room(no 5033 ) at about 1pm. Disappointingly the room was not clean. some fixtures and fittings in the room are also broken . The floor was sandy and sticky, and the mirror in the room was full on stains. There were also no towels provided to us and we had to get them from the reception. The shower room and toilet was wet and filthy. There are damp marks all over the ceiling in the shower room . We also do not have hot water for shower .The shower cubical and the shower head were dirty and the water pressure was ridiculously low. On top of the above mentioned issues , the fridge in our room is also not working. We informed the lady at the reception about these issues and requested for a better room but unfortunately we were told that no other room was available. The swimming pool is also not clean . The tiles in the pool is full of algae and the water is murky. We ended up not using the pool at all. Dinner time is supper to be between 7pm to 9pm. On the first day , we went to the restaurant at 8pm and most of the food was finished. On the second day , we thought we should go a bit early for dinner and we went there at about 7.30 pm . It was the same again , there was just not enough food to go around . There is no also WiFi in the resort but on your website it says there is free WiFi available. We have just been to Perhentian island before coming to Lang Tengah and have stayed with 2 other accommodation providers which charges less than what we paid for our stay at Dcoconut. In comparison , I have to say that the quality of our stay at Dcoconut Lagoon so far has been very unsatisfactory and uncomfortable. We would neither return to the resort nor recommend Dcoconut to our friends and family.

On the advice of Lonely Planet, we spent 3 nights at D’Coconut. After the hustle and bustle of the Perenthians, we were delighted to arrive on this intimate island and in this resort which seemed heavenly to us, at least in the photos. What was our disappointment upon our arrival: dropped off by boat, we arrived at the restaurant which also serves as reception. Its style is old-fashioned and its coldness is matched only by that of the staff who welcome us. Seized with a pressing desire after the boat crossing, we discovered the common toilets in an abominable state, and unfortunately the discoveries that followed did not improve things: - dirty swimming pool, not maintained at all - modest room - bathroom bordering on unsanitary (water damage, humidity problems, moss and fungus, pestilential odors) - yellow sheets - marks on the walls - a single roll of toilet paper for 3 days and 2 people - rusty and noisy mini fridge - disgusting and suspicious buffet food (we both got sick) - à la carte food already a little better, but the waiters are incapable of explaining the content of the dishes... which does not reassure us Finally, the general condition of the resort is in a lamentable state: the west wing where the diving club is still located has been completely abandoned... On the road which connects the two wings (and which we have to take to go to the diving club) we find mounds of pestilential garbage…. And to think that turtles lay eggs in the surrounding area... how sad! As for the diving club, it is only saved by the very friendly divemaster!! Thanks to him !! On the other hand, the state of the club itself and the equipment frankly do not inspire confidence. To conclude, this would ultimately not be so serious if the prices charged were below the market; It’s ultimately the opposite… Our advice: go your own way
