El Encanto Inn Hotel Spa & Suites

What appears in their listing as well as their website and on Google is their OLD LOCATION!! What you're getting is a block away, MUCH SMALLER and looks nothing like this. We booked under the impression that THAT is where we were going to stay, and upon arrival, we learned this was not where we were staying, and in fact their new boutique hotel is up the street. The place was still under construction, so there was no pool. We chose that hotel so that we could spend the day poolside, so you can imagine our disappointment. The rooms, the view, the vibe - none as depicted. Upon expressing our surprise and disappointment, nothing was done by management to adjust the pricing of what we paid for based on what we expected. We thought we could potentially play some cards or games we brought, but there weren't any tables we could use. The only ones available are small rounds that had a built-in ashtray in the tile, so no center of the table was usable. Since there wasn't a bar or restaurant, no alternatives were available. Not a terrible place to stay, but certainly not at the price for what we received unexpectedly. This is completely false advertising. The surrounding areas are nice - beautiful art galleries, delicious food options, and walkable streets.

They are closed. A developer purchased the entire block. I have been there several times and it was a beautiful place with a chapel, cabana bar by the pool and amazing atmosphere.

We spent 4 nights at this well situated art district hotel. We had no complaints about the parking, front desk staff, or the location. There were restaurants and shops right outside of the door and down the street. The worthwhile Thursday Art Walk was in the immediate neighborhood. The city square was just a few blocks away. The room was large and clean. Plenty of hot water in the shower. The pool was refreshing. The housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful. We found some local places to eat within walking distance of the hotel where we enjoyed some delicious, authentic, affordable Mexican food. We’ll definitely return to this hotel.
