HILTON GARDEN INN TUXTLA GUTIERREZ

Good points of this hotel (and there weren't any bad points): Excellent location near the shopping mall with a hypermarket and restaurants. Excellent value. Good breakfast/brunch that stays open until noon (but please bring back bacon) Excellent staff at breakfast. Nice pool (that was surprisingly chilly in the heat of April). No complaints about my room on the quiet sixth floor. AC worked very well. I would stay here again.

Nice place in Tuxtla ,capital of the friendly state of Chiapas, with really friendly staff overall in a good area, just around a shopping center and a sam‘s club in front. Well built and enough soundproofing to keep me quiet and relaxed. Around 40 minutes from the airport. Nothing to complain but the missing beach :) unfortunately there aren’t any beaches in this part of the world. By the way thanks again for the nice suite upgrade.

Very comfortable beds! The room has a desk w chair as well as a stuffed chair and ottoman, dresser with nice size tv, a small fridge and microwave and hot water pot for coffee or tea. Strangely in a room with 2 beds there is only one mug! They give water in the room also. Plenty of hot water in a large shower. I would have given five stars but there are a few things I noticed after staying four nights…there is a musty smell in the room. They have carpet which is not the best flooring, and the AC is noisy but works well. The city has a lot of traffic and not pleasant for walking around. We had a car but didn’t want to drive due to the crazy busy roads. There are a lot parks but we only went to one. We had the breakfast buffet and it was good at 260 pesos each. Reception was helpful and spoke English which I appreciated. The pool area was nice and provided with shade. On site guarded parking. The room fee was reasonable for this hotel.
