Best Western Monteverde Express

We stayed at Hotel Hacienda Monteverde San Miguel de Allende for 2 days, is a Colonial style Hotel / Hacienda type; and the service was very good, the location is good, it is a 15-minute walk from the central region where most points of interest and shops and restaurants are located, the breakfast was simple("continental" = 1 dish with fruit slices, 1 glass of juice, coffee, butter and bread) included in the daily if you want upgrade of "breakfast" pay the difference, we got fit 103 floor and the internet worked normally. Very good room, big bed. The hotel is very clean and organized, the only unpleasant situation, was the heated water that takes a while to appear depending on the time (5 to 10 minutes). Breakfast: Simple, in our case the reservation was with the "continental" breakfast (not specified in advance) if we wanted different would have to pay the part. The best part of the hotel is the beautiful courtyard. The rooms are obsolete, very cold (there is no heating and they are poorly conditioned) and bath linen with yellowish stains. The blankets they offer you with hair of various characteristics... The hotel is old and I guess the agency must have hired it for economic because it is not even strategically located. I do not recommend breakfast unless you go very calmly and patiently. The staff is incredibly slow.

Really good for price and location , close enough for us to desired areas. About a 10-12 minute walk to most things we wanted to see. Ubers easy to get for longer distances. Is modest hotel with some nice features, like a charming courtyard you can access for sitting or view from dining room. Room decent size, had refrigerator, but no coffee maker or microwave. Room had a small enclosed private yard that was quite pleasant to sit in. Housekeeping every day with 2 new water bottles, new towels, no washcloths. Had a hairdryer. Shower did have hot water after running for awhile with only the hot water faucet. Internet very good, even had zoom meeting without issue. Breakfast included is served, not buffet, is a plate of fruit, bread, yogurt, coffee. Can order more food for modest price, we did that and omelettes were pretty good. The hotel is kept very clean, staff always seem to be mopping and wiping things down. Friendly staff, someone always at desk and security person walking around at night. Most nights were pretty quiet except last night loud music nearby. It was bothered me if I didn’t have my noise canceling sleep headphones. Never travel without them! We were on the 3rd floor, there is a slow elevator good if bringing luggage, we used the stairs otherwise. The room did not have climate control, so in January the room got a little chilly overnight right before sunrise, but they gave enough blankets. The bed was comfortable enough, but it did creak loudly when moving about. There is a fan in the room for summer, can't speak to if that is enough. Hope that is helpful, overall I would definitely stay here again.
