Stayed here with friends because it was so close to the main plaza. The noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in. The restaurant is on the ground floor of the atrium. Starting at about 2 pm, the staff start preparing food. The chopping starts along with the loud music and loud talking of employees! I made a video in the room to show management how loud the place is.
I could go on and on. Just don't stay there!

I went to Taxco with my wife and in laws, they are Japanese, unfortunately we could not get any other hotel at the time. Hotel Emilia is indeed, as other people describe, at a convenient location, near downtown, and has a Sushi restaurant at the lobby, while this is an upvote for many, it was a downside for us, the reason is the noise, you can hear lots of people, cars and motorbikes from the street, and the restaurant has a constant play of pop music. Sure any restaurant should ambient their local for the customers but this last until midnight, then at the closing time you can hear lot of noise from the kitchen, dishes being washed, furniture movement, etc. I can't complain more as I also understand this is a cheap Hotel, and you get what you pay for, a convenient bed near downtown, other than that there is nothing exceptional here.

I thought it would be a good idea to reserve a room with a window facing the cobble stone street (on the 15th, Mexico's Independence day) to see "fireworks"- big mistake! Couldn't sleep, windows don't muffle outside noises.
Overall clean: bathroom, sheets, floor and with hotel amenities.
Nice and attentive front desk host. The rooms a bit too dark.
