Hotel Santa Prisca

It's an old two story hotel, dating back to the 1940's, centrally located near the zocalo but quiet.The rooms surround a lovely courtyard filled with fruit trees, flowers and potted plants. Rooms are small and bathrooms are basic but have adequate hot water and water pressure. The wifi signal in our room was very weak but stronger near the reception area. Management should consider investing in broader wifi coverage and in a little bit of cosmetic updating but it's a good budget option.

The location of this hotel is excellent in the main plaza but up a slight hill. The courtyard setting keeps you away from street noise. The first two days we had hot water from the shower but the last two days we had no hot water. The rooms all face an inner courtyard with lovely flowers and sun loungers. Our room with twin beds was spacious with furniture to hang clothes. Wifi was near reception only. Breakfast was a choice of three menus.

This hotel is the best option for mid-range travellers in Taxco. It is so conveniently located. One block from the cathedral and zocalo and one block from the market. It is an old hotel but very well-maintained, very clean and very pretty. The staff are very friendly, attentive and professional. It has a parking lot at the back of the hotel. Highly recommended!
