Azul Ixtapa Beach Resort & Convention Center

The hotel is good, it has potential, but personally it lacks variety of food, flavor as well, and more friendliness from the staff. The location of the beach is definitely not the best, but the advantage is that the crocodile farm and Playa Linda are close by. They need to put out umbrellas and lounge chairs. Please pay attention to the check-in, since it takes a long time to give out the rooms and we travelers arrive tired; give options to check in earlier even if you charge for an extra breakfast or something. They gave us a defective room at first and we told them, since the air conditioning didn't work; thank God they changed it for us, but only because we had to demand it. Even so, we appreciate that they did it. The view of the sea from the rooms is indeed spectacular.

Avoid this hotel if you do not want to be treated like dirt. Terrible service at the reception; the flight from CDMX arrives at 10:00, and upon arriving at the hotel, the reception staff simply tells you that you have to wait until check-in time (more than two hours) or pay for an extra day. It is understood that there is a check-in time like in any other hotel, but the hospitality is zero; first and last time.

It was a very nice experience; everyone at the hotel is very friendly and attentive. The bartenders (Margarito, Nava, Carlos, and Darío) provided us with incredible service and good drinks. I highly recommend it for family visits! All the amenities were fantastic!
