Hotel Villa El Morro

This hotel is a gem. 12 rooms. Amazing staff. Beds are super comfortable and ample kitchen. Great bathroom and living room area. A little balcony for 2 with the most spectacular view. And a view from the air conditioned bedroom equally as spectacular with beautiful sunrises. Pool is lovely and perfect temperature. Loungers and chairs. There are stairs everywhere and few handrails. 250 stairs to downtown from our room. But combis and taxis are plentiful.

Fantastic spot. Well-maintained, friendly and helpful staff and INCREDIBLE VIEWS! The walk to centro Zihua requires going down a lot (165) of steps, but it's still pretty easy to get there (about 10-15 mins). It's a nice climb back to close out the day, or an easy and cheap cab ride. The restaurant on location is closed but there are a few good ones (though on the expensive side) nearby.

We were fortunate to be able to spend four weeks at Villas El Morro ... The grounds were well maintained, the rooms were clean and the staff was very attentive ... the kitchenette in the room was ideal for small meals prepared with local market, fresh food, including the ritual of purchasing pastries and fresh ground coffee, then savouring them at breakfast while witnessing another spectacular sunrise ... the in-house laundry service was excellent; the soap used had a nice fragrance.
