Abandonment in all services, terrible food. Rooms with multiple issues. Broken TV

I went to Guadalajara to visit my family and decided to stay at El Tapatío for two and a half weeks at the beginning of September. I chose El Tapatío blinded by nostalgia, as I was looking for somewhere with a swimming pool and had stayed there several times with my family many years ago. When I arrived at the hotel, the room with two beds that I had reserved was not available, but they offered me a different one with one bed, which I accepted, as it was what I wanted in the first place, even though I didn't have that option when I made the reservation. I really appreciated that. Unfortunately, I had a very uncomfortable situation. One day, when I returned to my room, I found that my things had been rummaged through. I had boxes of cookies and snacks that I planned to take back to the country where I currently live, and it turns out that the person who did the room service that day opened one of the boxes and ate from it. I spoke to reception and the manager asked me to come back the next day. When I met him, he apologized and told me that the person responsible had been fired. It should be noted that when I spoke to reception, I told them that I didn't want to get anyone in trouble, but that I was looking for a solution to this situation. The truth is that all the staff were friendly at all times, but I don't think this was the best way to resolve things. During my last few days at the hotel, I didn't feel comfortable at all because of what had happened, and before leaving my room, I always hid my belongings and checked everything twice just in case. The facilities are a bit neglected, especially the pool: the tiles are loose everywhere. In my room, there were lots of bugs and iguanas walking on the walls. I understand that this cannot be completely prevented due to the area where the hotel is located, but it is something to keep in mind before booking. And the wifi/5g signal is terrible so keep that in mind too

Old hotel with no proper maintenance, pillows had hairs from someone else, we shared the room with a massive spider whom came down from the ceiling as we prepared for sleep and the balcony chairs where dusty AF, the food and pool were amazing tho!
