Casa Margarita Hotel

I wasn't expecting a lot, but this was very very basic and in need of repair! It could be such a charming little hotel if there were some pesos spent for an overall improvement. A box of Kleenex would have even helped. My spouse sleeps with a CPAP machine and unfortunately was not able to use it as there was no plug in anywhere near the bed. Two plugs in total, one in the bathroom and one near the entrance for the mini fridge. Bathroom was very dimly lit. Ceiling fan in sleeping area was filthy and also provided only very dim lighting. Beds were hard, not comfy at all. Pool area was OK, free breakfast was OK. I booked this on Expedia and paid $74 Canadian for one night, $40 would have been lots !! I would not recommend this hotel.

We had booked two rooms about 4 days before are arrival and they did not know about the booking. They had two rooms but one was still being cleaned at 4:30 PM. The rooms were worn and in need of upgrading. TV's had no remotes and were old tube type. Only had two bath towels no hand towels or wash cloths. Musty and dark, no bedside reading lights, no drinking water in the room just a plastic pitcher and water available at the front desk. The best part was the conceierge, Mita, She did every thing she could to make us happy. The owners need to give back some of the profit to keep this place up.
