Villa Varadero

A very complete experience, the food is delicious, activities all day long, and hospitality that is out of this world; this place is super, I recommend it 100%.

I want to share my experience because, honestly, I do not recommend this hotel for a vacation, and even less so considering what it costs. My stay was paid for by my work, so I clarify that I am not making this comment because I felt that I personally "wasted my money." Precisely for that reason I can say it with complete frankness: if I had to choose and pay out of my own pocket to vacation, I would definitely look for another option. From the moment I entered the room, the impression was very bad. The facilities feel old, neglected, and in obvious need of maintenance. The room had a horrible smell, like dampness and an old place, and the pillows had a frankly unpleasant odor. Instead of feeling like you are arriving to rest after a trip, the first impression was wanting to leave the room. To make matters worse, the minibar did not work and the television did not have cable television service as one would expect in a hotel of this type. These are details that might seem minor individually, but when added to the general conditions of the room, they make the stay quite uncomfortable. And the food didn't help either. I found the buffet frankly bad, both in quality and in what one expects to find during a vacation. If you go to a hotel where a good part of the experience depends on the facilities and the food, one would expect something much better. The most disappointing thing is the price-quality ratio. The oceanfront location may be attractive and it may have some points in its favor, but for me that does not compensate for the deficiencies I found. In fact, there are other options in Nuevo Vallarta where, for the same money or even by looking a little, I believe you can get much more in comfort, maintenance, food, and overall experience. My conclusion is very clear: for a vacation, Hotel Villa Varadero does not seem like a good option to me. Not recommended at all. If you are looking for a place to truly rest, enjoy yourself, and feel that your lodging is worth what you are paying, I would look for another alternative before booking here. It is one thing to have a simple hotel and quite another to pay for a vacation and find yourself with a room that has bad odors, deteriorated facilities, equipment problems, and food that leaves much to be desired. I would not return and I would not recommend it.
