Alux Cancun

Old hotel with an air conditioning system from the 80s, there is never hot water, towels are stained and frayed, they only provided soap very reluctantly, the Caribe International hotel nearby is better for the same rate, the so-called Alux is not recommended at all, I chose it by mistake because it is half a block from the ADO buses but I regretted it, and then they say you can't have drinks in the room because they fine you and make you sign a contract, when normally you just sign a register, not recommended, they want to take advantage of tourists, the good thing is that I only stayed one night, and I have no desire to return.

This is an older outdated hotel that could become from some upgrades. It was clean and the bed was okay but the linens were worn. I booked through Expedia however had to pay cash at check in. Strong smell of cleaning products. It’s close to the bus station which is why people stay here for a night.

This is not the most posh hotel in town but clean and very comfortable. It is also an excellent location near the ADO bus terminal to get everywhere as well as access many places to explore in town. My needs were a bit complicated and the wonderful people (or Angels) of Hotel Alux went over and above expected service to make sure I was taken care of. Thank You Gustavo, Ivan and staff for a special saty I will always remember!
