Cabanas Maria del Mar

The location was ideal, the staff was kind, and the garden and communal spaces were genuinely beautiful. Unfortunately, none of that mattered once we stepped into our room. The moment we walked in, the heat was overwhelming. We turned on the AC and left, hoping it would cool down while we were gone. Three hours later, we came back to a room that was still just as hot. My machinist boyfriend tried everything to get the unit working, but the filter looked like it had not been changed in ten years. It was useless. Then came the shower. The water ran black at first. Actually black. I felt dirty even after bathing, which is the exact opposite of what a shower should do. The fridge never turned on, so all of our drinks stayed warm. Between the heat, the water, and the complete lack of functioning basics, we were miserable. We checked out within three hours of checking in. We were in the room for less than thirty minutes total. We did not have time to wait for anything to be fixed because we needed to get cleaned up and ready for a wedding. There was simply no way we could manage under those conditions. Lovely grounds and kind staff cannot make up for a room this neglected. Stay anywhere else. .

We love Cabanas Maria del Mar. Rooms are clean and comfortable, beach access is perfect, staff is very friendly and accomodating. Swimming pool is clean, the walk to the Tower is beautiful with all the flowers. Muchas Gracias! Hasta el proximo ano!

Cockroaches and no one cleans; the room is in poor condition.
