Grand Oasis Viva

We truly enjoyed our stay at Dreams Sands! We loved the delicious food and cuisine offered at every restaurant! The staff were amazing from the restaurant head Jorge at guacho to the omelette station Chef Melani, to the servers, Pedro, Yasmin, and the hotel VIP staff, Alexus “Alejandra”. Fernando at the check in was kind and offered to upgrade us for free our last two days at the resort due to our celebration of anniversary. We loved the fact that this resort provided free water non-motorized experiences sailing with Hector from Aqua World was a key experience we’ll never forget! We got to see a sea turtle, and even see beautiful turquoise waters. The beach sadly has been impacted by the Crisis of 2026 Sargassum that’s hit many of Mexico’s beaches. Luckily on the last day the storm cleared a lot of it out and we were able to access beach with some clarity in water. The hotel is beautiful in many ways but could use renovations in the ceilings of restaurants leaking, the bathrooms or rooms were clean but outdated features. Overall, a wonderful stay and an amazing experience due to the lovely staff and food. VIP services gave us day passes to explore the Secrets Resort Mirabel thanks to Alexis! We

We were there on our honeymoon and had the worst experience. There was mold on our pillow, in the bathroom and when they gave us 3 other options the rooms were dirty, dirty towels still on the floor, stained pillows and sheets, and mold on the walls/ceilings/vents. Would never recommend this place to anyone, very gross, and very unhealthy. They downgraded our room when we complained and told us to pick the cleanest of the 4 rooms. They tried to bribe us the day we were leaving with a pool cabana “to make it right”. Front desk staff, concierge, and management were rude and not helpful.

Everything excellent. But the service is the best. Especially Santiago and Enrique, buffet waiters, who made our stay super comfortable. The facilities are a bit old and there are leaks everywhere due to the weather. The beach improved a little regarding the sargassum, but it is not like it was years ago. The food is another plus, it is super delicious in all the restaurants. It was our second time at Dreams and if the beach improves, we would stay there again.
