Hotel Plaza Kokai Cancun

I rented hab for two nights and from the first night the bar downstairs did not let me sleep, when going down to the reception Andres tells me that he can not do anything, there is no manager to talk to, there is no refund to go to rest elsewhere, the next day I can only talk to the reservation people, if the one who did not tell you in my reservation that there is a lot of noise in that room, his response was "complain to Profeco if you want" now I can not sleep, I can not go to another hotel and there is no one who takes seriously your complaint, I do not recommend that sadness that you do not care as a client

Full disclosure – we did not pay for this hotel, this was the hotel that the airline put us up in after our flight was canceled and we had to stay an extra day. ROOMS – The room was clean (as was the bathroom) and the beds and pillows were comfortable. However, the only thing to cover yourself with in bed was a single sheet. There was no blanket, nothing but the one, single sheet. The TV had channels only in Spanish, not even CNN International or anything. We could have used a couple more towels and they did not have face washcloths (flannels). The safe in the room did not work. The air conditioning did work well. The small pool area was fine, they did their best to keep the leaves that kept falling into the pool, out of the pool. FOOD – They have a restaurant attached to the hotel and that was quite good, probably the best part. We ate lunch and dinner there, and for dinner, the salmon was delicious! Washed down with a lovely, chilled Negro Modelo. There is a very large supermarket just a few minutes walk from the hotel – Soriana’s. We were able to get some provisions and bottled water there. Soriana’s also had a large hot food deli area where you can order food to either take with you or eat there as they had tables and chairs to sit at as well. If all you need is a place to stay for one night, it was fine, it was clean and suited our needs, albeit very basic.

The location of the hotel is good, there is a Soriana and OXXO nearby, apart from access to transport. The hotel restaurant is also very Well, the prices are accessible and the Very nice meal, had breakfast and dinner there. The rooms are pretty good, the comfortable beds, a closet and AC.
