Tukan Hotel & Beach Club

Our experience at this hotel was very disappointing. From the moment of check-in, the service at the front desk was very bad. The staff was unwilling to resolve the issues and did not provide any solution to our complaints. The concierge, in addition to being rude, showed an absolute lack of interest in helping or solving any problem. We had booked rooms with single beds and, without prior notice, they assigned us a room with a double bed. Furthermore, the room provided did not match what we had booked, and when we brought it up, they simply refused to acknowledge the error or offer an alternative. The room had numerous maintenance issues. The toilet was constantly leaking water, and the general state of repair was very poor. The faucet handles were completely rusted, which conveys a clear sense of abandonment and lack of maintenance. Another very negative aspect is that the water is salty, and the hotel does not even offer drinking water dispensers for guests, something we consider basic, especially in a tourist destination with high temperatures. It is also very inconvenient that they only provide one set of keys per room. If two people or a group are traveling, this forces them to constantly coordinate who has the key and limits each person's freedom to come and go. The common areas are neglected and dirty. They do not have fans that work properly, so staying in those spaces is very uncomfortable due to the heat. The pool area reflects the same level of neglect: there are practically no lounge chairs in good condition, and the few that exist are very dirty, worn out, and frayed. In general terms, the hotel is ugly, neglected, and very far from what the photos show or what one expects when making a reservation. The price-to-quality ratio is very poor. We would not stay here again, nor would we recommend it.
