Hotel Tropical Escape

Terrible, better sleep on the floor on the street, it's probably more comfortable than the beds. Cheap but terrible. The curtains do not block any of the sun in the morning, it has a good location and the staff is not bad but the facilities are very uncomfortable, the rooms do not even have a bedspread, just a small sheet. Our family booked the Villa via Flipkey. It's on the hotel property, has 6 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. Spacious for the eight of us! Extraordinarily convenient to the beach, restaurants, and clubs. Pool was utilized for scuba lessons each day until around noon. Noisy doesn't begin to tell the story at night, but we all managed to sleep well despite it. If you like throbbing bass, you'll love it! Would stay again if in the barrio.

My family and I have been going to this hotel since I was a little girl (over 10 years) and go back every year. The hotel is beautiful with lots of trees, plants, small cenote, and pool. The attention is wonderful and its just a block from the beach and the famous 5th avenue. Its a great place for young people because it is right next to where all of the bars are located. Despite this, the noise wasn't an issue because by the end of a long day at the beach you are exhausted and can easily fall asleep. Don't let the old reviews scare you! Previous managers have been fired and the hotel is now back in the hands of the owners who take great care of the hotel and their guests. Definitely check this hotel out!
