La Pasion Hotel Boutique

Stayed here a couple nights before heading to the Wyndham. Conveniently located to write downtown Walmart and the weekend plaza with local goods. I would definitely stay here again.

Starting with the location, it is in an excellent location, very close to everything. It has parking with easy access. Regarding the facilities, they are fine but in some parts need maintenance. The 3 ideal pools for hanging out, especially the rooftop. The staff is good, attentive and helpful, regarding the room the air conditioning being on threw water, the good thing is that it was not strong humidity and heat. The internet is somewhat intermittent, some days there was no, I give it an 8.

This hotel was not great by any means. The room smelled bad, there were no normal pillows (have a look at the one I took a picture of) or duvet, everything was old, worn out and/or broken, including a broken shower door and clogged pipes, that made the washroom smell like sewage. The chairs by the pool were dirty, we had to put extra towel on them and be careful not to touch anything. They don't really bother doing any maintenance in hotels here, we've noticed, but don't hesitate charging the guests for 'boutique' services, when in reality it's not even close, more like the exact opposite. Also, don't bother with the breakfast, it's awful. You can get much nicer food anywhere else in the area. Half of this hotel faces a busy municipal square, which often has concerts, markets etc, that go on way past midnight, so be aware if you value your rest. There is no sound insulation at all, so you'll hear everything and will only fall asleep when the last person leaves the market.
