Explorean Kohunlich All Inclusive Hotel

We traveled from Lax-Mex-Chetumal and the long travel was worth it! The moment we were picked up from the airport and when we arrived at the resort we were greeted with a drink. The staff were nice and helpful. The restaurant menu for lunch and dinner changes everyday so we always look forward to it. Food were delicious and presented really well! The activities were amazing and you can tell that the staff put a lot of effort into it so we appreciate it so much! The tour guides also made it a better experience. Our favorite was the kayaking at night. I also liked that they have quick shoulder and neck massage chair at the lobby! The ambience was quiet and relaxing, it’s a reset from your daily busy work schedule. I can say that this place is a hidden gem! I recommend this place!

I made my reservation directly with the hotel, paid full rate and 5 days of my stay decided to empty 75% of the hotel's only pool and common area for maintenance. The hotel promotes itself as a natural and relaxing sanctuary and my week was full of closed areas and noise from blowers, cutters, polishers, etc. The only common area of the hotel under maintenance but I was charged full rate. The hotel staff is more concerned with making you buy their Holiday Club membership than with serving the needs and expectations of their customers. Without the pool, there's nothing for kids.

In this hotel we only had lunch in the restaurant. The environment is nice, clean and pleasant. The tables, well spaced, are under a wooden canopy and palm trees by the pool. A pleasant atmosphere. We were greeted with kindness and accompanied to the table. Lunch is fixed price with three courses - with three choices for each course. We had for toasted starter k'omoj, for main course fish with tikin xic sauce and rice and for dessert pastel de queso. All very good and delicate. The dishes were well presented, the portions right. The service was quick and attentive.
