Don Pelayo Pacific Beach

I visited the hotel with my wife and 3 daughters and we had a great time. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are very spacious, comfortable, clean, the air conditioning worked very well and the room cleaning service is excellent! The hotel restaurant, located on the Ground Floor is excellent, with delicious and exquisite food! The pool area is very large, with slippers and there are several depths that guarantee the fun of children and adults! Parking is very good and is always guarded by 24 hour security. The view of the room is beautiful for the Malecón de Mazatlán and leaving the room the view is for the lagoon! It is very well located with many restaurants nearby and attractions!

I reserved an ocean view room for a 4 night stay. The room was extremely loud - traffic noise from the malecon. When I complained, I was transfered to a much smaller room in the back and was told that room rate will be adjusted/refunded accordingly. I was able to sleep one night without interrption. The next 2 nighs were horrible - other gusts were so loud until about 1:30=2am, including a night where there were people gathered in hallway with musical instruments. [At the timr of check out, the front desk refused to make the price adjustment and refund the room rate difference]. BE EXTREMLY cautious uising hotel wi-fi. The network is NOT secured or encrypted. (open wi-fi system without passwords)

The facilities are old, the ACs in the rooms do not cool and the maintenance team does nothing to fix, apart from the noise it makes. The elevators do not have any ventilation, they are small and few for the number of people there are. He doesn't have drawers to store clothes and that we had a suite. Not worth it!!
