Hotel Cerritos Resort

They lured us with the excuse of a free breakfast to see their facilities. We were there for over two hours. We didn't like them, so we said we weren't interested. Still, they held us back for a while longer on the excuse that someone had to review the work of the person who gave us the tour. In the end, they accompanied us to the exit of the restaurant, and when they asked how they would return us or what had happened to whoever took us from our hotel, their answer was: "Go back as you can, by truck." A car drove us, left us outside the facility and drove us back. We weren't offered any solutions. Honestly, the facilities are not pretty. The rooms we were shown were single bedroom with two beds a bathroom and very high prices. The restaurant was in poor condition: the kitchen and bar looked old and unkempt. Also, the rooms were away from the beach. We much prefer the apartments where we stayed: they were more modern, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, close to the beach, well maintained and at an affordable price.

Needs a MAJOR renovation! That statement says it all. Makeup stains & holes in extra-thin/worn bed sheets, mice droppings in kitchen, and overall worn out. Upside are very friendly & lovely staff, quiet location (away from crowds of Mazatlan) & a few minute walk to nice sandy beach with BEAUTIFUL sunsets! Villa accommodation must have been really great at one time (like the photos on website!) & hopefully they can renovate & bring it back to its former glory!

They are somewhat social interest condominiums, and the facilities are a bit old, there is no internet in the rooms. The man who does maintenance is very friendly. The security guards have terrible service and lack a lot of training and manners. You have to have a car to get here since you are quite far from everything.
