We normally stay at the condo next door but would go to Torres for their restaurant, happy hour and Bingo. It’s always been a pleasant experience, so we choose to stay a week there this fall. I would not recommend. First the room stunk when we walked in. The couch is a built in made of concrete with a pad. They leave a slip in the door the day before maid service but don’t give you an estimated time, so the maid just walks in. Before our stay my sister tried to contact them three times, by mail as stated in the email she received from them, they never replied. Trying to arrange our departure was a total nightmare. The staff directs you from person to person. It took three days to finally get that figure out. No receipt was given and then when we get out to the taxi, they won’t let us get on without a “slip.” The front desk staff is ZERO help. They do not know what customer service means. You walk away feeling more confused than before you asked them for help. If you can, avoid using Deana for arranging your transportation, horrible experience. The waitstaff is very pleasant and friendly, the only plus.

Arrived Saturday October 11, 2025 and stayed for 6 nights. Resort is beautiful. Grounds immaculate. Staff very friendly and helpful. Palapa Restaurant very convenient and a nice menu. The room was very comfortable as were the bed and furniture. Two large wall mounted tvs with a plentiful selection of channels including CNN & Fox News. Also ESPN and Fox Sports. Kitchen well equipped with utensils and a large refrigerator. Air Conditioning worked great. Bus service with the "Sabalo Centro" bus ran by the front of the resort about every 5 minutes. Only 13 pesos. Torres has become my favorite Mazatlan resort. I try to take 7-10 trips to Mzt 3 times per year.

This is my first time in Mazatlan. I was traveling with my daughter, her family and the other in-laws. Her family are two very hyper boys ages 5&3. The on site restaurant (LaPalapa)) was excellent and all of the servers took incredible care as a group serving everyone extremely efficiently and all with a pleasant demeanor. Special props to Saul, Antonio, Pancho, bartender Juan, Paco, and Ferman. All were great. The food is reasonably priced with the opportunity to go to WalMart for supplies either using the open air taxis or calling an Uber. If you’re not used to shopping with your own bags be sure to buy some as they loaded all my groceries directly to the cart. It was busy so I wasn’t getting back in line. Luckily an entrepreneur was selling bags for double outside so I was able to get back to the resort. We missed any significant rain during the day even though there were a hurricane and tropical depression off the coast. The surf was up and nixed any beach time. We also had to cancel a trip to go fishing. The rooms are clean and moderately well maintained with a couple of minor glitches at the elevator. The kids lived in the pool. The weather was mid 80’s to low 90’s and with a breeze not uncomfortable. Activities daily and easy travel to the other areas of town made this an excellent stay. I may opt for two weeks next time. The only excursion we did was the City shopping tour. It was fine but with that experience I’ll likely fill up one of the red open air truck/taxis and do my own. Overall A for my first visit..
