Hotel Baja

Just a warning about this hotel. I checked in, went to my second floor room, and stepped in about three feet when there was a 4 inch drop into the 'sunken' room. No warning. No word from the guy who helped with the luggage and no tape to let you know the floor, all terra cotta and the same color, was about to drop 4 inches. I broke my right leg, injured my left leg and both of my arms, and I'm still recovering 2 months later. This hotel has NO ground floor rooms, so I was unable to stay upstairs since I couldn't even walk. I had to find another hotel with a ground floor. Even still, Hotel Baja refused to refund my money for a 3 night stay. And since I had already checked in, my cc company couldn't prove I hadn't stayed there. They have lost my business forever, which is unfortunate since I'm a member of the American Legion, headquartered on the ground floor of this hotel.

This place is dirty, badly set up, didn’t even have toilet paper in the room. The check in seemed like it belonged in The Shining. Don’t waste your money. It needs new management. A DISASTER. It was rated 7.0 on one website. NOT EVEN CLOSE! You’d be much better off elsewhere.

This hotel is in a good location, has plenty of parking & a great pool with swim up bar. It’s basically value for money. The staff were very friendly. Rooms ok, could do with updating the towels and bed covers
