San Carlos Plaza Hotel, Resort & Convention Center

Old outdated and in disrepair; ac not working in 1/3 building but was fixed. Food is no bueno. Tub is elevated 6”+ from floor, so very awkward & difficult to get in and out, no rail to hold until in the tub/shower. Good pressure and hot/cold working, although water was also shut off one night for a few hours. Pools are gross/cloudy - lots of little kids. Sea access is great, not public beach. Very much a beach hotel, nice people, rooms cleaned quickly. Overall like a 2 star or bad 3 star US hotel.

Its location is perfect because it is opposite the beach, however it has many points to improve. Quarters: Very old and neglected, they have objects with stains from a long time ago, which for me takes away the presence of the place. The old watering cans and very difficult to have hot water. They didn't have a phone, so there was no room service. Noise: The walls are thin because you hear too much noise outside. Facilities: Very careless and without security, anyone could enter the hotel or stay at 12 at night in the pool area. Breakfast buffet: That if it was good, the variety of food and its taste are good. In short, the truth at the moment I don’t recommend it, hopefully they will give it proper maintenance.

This Complex is in horrible condition thru out. They reopened after a long shut down from Covid. There is no beach left. The condo we stayed in had blood on the furniture. Exposed electrical wiring in the bathroom. All of the pictures shown are from a very long time ago. In short this complex should not be operating in this condition.
