Hotel Marionetas

This hotel is really beautiful and in a great location. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and our room was very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Small hotel close to the Center at p15' walk. Nice setting and construction with a beautiful little tropical garden surrounding a small pool (not very attractive though). The rooms are ok but the equipment would need a modernization especially those of the Bathroom: shower with random or long hot water to come, no mixer at the sink, cleanliness of the suspect sink, no bedside lamp for each bed so fire extinguishing for all. Sufficient storage,; the air conditioning works well; a little noisy because the windows overlook the hallway and some openings to clear- lane so you can hear all the passages and comings; at the end of the street the Negrita bar an institution but very noisy with live music and the impression that the orchestra is in your room; fortunately it stops around 10 pm otherwise it would not be possible to sleep. Breakfast very summary: no cold drink or juice (we wore ours bought at the neighboring grocery store, portion of jam and butter for a 5 year old, you have to claim to have more. Parking in front of the hotel is nice. Very average reception, complete lack of interest of staff in clients, their activities or their satisfaction A serious effort will have to be made on this point. Average impression in the end.

I wouldn't repeat. Merida has a great selection of very well located hotels, and this offers only very nice photos. We spent two nights at this hotel. First the pros: good location, very nice reception as in the photos, cozy garden area, spacious room and bathroom, closed and private parking for the hotel right at the door. The cons: * Staff: very cold and unconsidered (bordering on unpleasant). It's not normal anywhere in the world, but less so to be in Mexico. I'm just telling you that in two days they didn't talk anything apart from good morning and good afternoon and answered our questions with monosyllables and bad faces. *Room: We got a room on the ground floor, you couldn't draw the curtains because you're in the way of the people of the rest of the rooms. (all the rooms have this problem because they're around the inner garden although the ones on the ground floor, worse, of course). Also very noisy for the location and above one of the windows had no glass, only the wooden shutter that you always had to keep closed so that no one could see you....therefore always dark room... Every morning you were woken by the noise of other guests passing by with suitcases or talking. The floor of the room on our arrival was dirty and in the two days it was not cleaned... walking barefoot around the room implied being left with black feet. They didn't leave bottled water in the room. If you wanted water you had to buy it or go out to the reception and bring a glass of water from the water machine. * Breakfast: Very sparse and unvaried. It consists of a small plate of cut fruit per person, tea or coffee , bread toast and fried eggs or pancakes. We were 4 people and they put us 2 toasts of bread in half and a single butter. We had to ask him twice for more bread and butter; and on each occasion they brought us only an individual portion.... Very limited hours, only until 9 am. On the second day we arrived later (with the idea of packing...) and he told us that the breakfast schedule was over and that there was nothing to eat... It was really lucky, thanks to those we had breakfast somewhere else much better. After 12 days in Mexico alone in this hotel we have found this. Luckily in the other hotels, the staff was very friendly and friendly, with much longer hours and adapted to the customer if necessary (preparing breakfasts to go if you left before the time...).
