Plaza Mirador

The hotel rooms are very clean but the rooms (or at least the room that touched me) are very old it is a fairly modest hotel, it has parking and restaurant (which I did not use) and pool (which I also did not use) I was there one night, the area is not the best but it is two blocks from the truck terminal which must be advantage for someone who goes to the terminal, the photos of the rooms are very different when less was in my case, the old furniture, the shower of the bathroom as well, although the mattress if it looked new and in good condition, honestly I would not stay there again because I stayed away from the places where I wanted to go, how alone woman I did not feel safe there, of course that is a personal appreciation because at no time was I at risk, it was just a feeling.

He's got cockroaches in your suitcase. Bathroom cleaning is terrible. The included breakfast is too basic and you are not given the opportunity to redeem that breakfast to buy another one at extra charge. Mostly unfriendly staff.

It is a very good option in Merida for families, as it is one of the few options that we found that have availability for 5 people in a room which improved our stay, since in most hotels we offered rooms with up to only 4 people which was not optimal for us, I will start highlighting the positive points, the staff is very good, all are very friendly and above all honest, as we were going to a family party and somehow I dropped the tie from the suit rack, however my wife asked at reception and someone from the staff guarded it, an apology as due to the rush we could not properly thank said person and we did not know who it was but Thank you very much!, the facilities are adequate for the price, the room has air conditioning, screen and basic amenities, the internet service is decent, the pool is very nice and comfortable to spend time with the family, the parking is spacious but for the number of guests is hardly enough. Points of improvement: There are some things that could further improve the stay in this place, such as the fact that the elevator was not working and they did not mention it, they only did so until the time of check in, in our case we had no problems with it but talking to another guest tells me that his missus. Mother accompanied them and the older adult is difficult to climb the stairs but apparently they solved it. The bathroom floor should be non-skidding in the shower to avoid accidents since if it felt a little slippery and you had to leave carefully. In the pool the water feels very cold because by the design of the hotel is downtown and is shaded all the time, you could spill the trees a little to have some sun there, And finally, as a suggestion a frigobar in the room would complement the accommodation very well. Of course we will return because the experience was very enjoyable and we remain grateful to everyone there for making these days very comfortable for my family and me.
