Hacienda Kaan Ac

It’s been a truly unforgettable experience staying here. I hope I get the chance to stay there again in the future. We stayed in a charming traditionally decorated room with a veranda in the spectacular grounds of the colonial castle building which was built in 1580! But you can get to stay in the castle too! The grounds are spectacular. The pool is beautiful and clean. We enjoyed swimming in it during a storm! And watching the animals from the pool: multiple birds of all sorts, iguanas, a peacock, ants beetles etc. And as the sun set the sounds changed to crickets and frogs. Truly magical. In the morning there was a loud dawn chorus from the birds. Fabulous!! Points to note: It is 15 minutes drive from the town so a car is useful There is no bar and the restaurant has limited hours. The rooms are decorated in a plan traditional style.

It is a splendid place, with large and very well preserved gardens. The rooms are of all kinds from very private not suitable for claustrophobics to the most spacious and bright in a beautiful castle that evokes the time of the conquest. The service of the very friendly staff attentive to the details and needs of the guests especially Jessy. I highly recommend it if you want to rest without the noise that is already generated in any city since being out of town the tranquility only breaks the song of the birds in the morning.

What an incredible experience we had at Hacienda! The people were amazing - so kind and attentive. Whenever we had any questions or needs, the staff immediately met them. My husband and I plan to return because this place is truly a diamond in the rough. It's cozy, full of character, and timeless. We had so much fun and felt extremely safe and relaxed. We will miss not only our stay at Hacienda, but also the wonderful people we met there. We will always remember and appreciate the culture, language, and traditions that were shared with us.
