Meson de la Merced

What a good choice to stay and sleep within the city of Zacatecas. You have ample parking and the Hostel is steps from everything, parking say, you leave your vehicle and everything else you do walking through its beautiful streets full of history of this great place that is cultural heritage of humanity.

Secure underground parking with very helpful staff - especially for someone with limited Spanish. The rooms were good and the shower pressure was also good. The Hotel was close to great restaurants and life in the centro.

This is why I'm rating this hotel so low. Even though we didn't stay there. We made reservations on 12/08/19 before the covid-19 virus. We had to cancel out trip. We didn't want to take a chance of taking the covid-19 virus to Zacatecas. Called booking.com to cancel due to pandemic. They called the Meson. The person who answered said she was not authorized to cancel our reservation without charges. She said a manager would call. That never happened. I just saw that they changed my credit card. I wouldn't do business with Meso de la Merced and high should think twice before doing business with them. They don't care about the people in Zacatecas, their employees or their clients. I can guarantee you that we will not ever stay here again. I hopes this helps others before they make a reservation here.
