Maxim Pasha Hotel

I was booking this hotel as I had an early bus to Comrat booked. As this grotty accomodation is very close to the Southern Bus Terminal. When I arrived with a local friend who helped me, I couldnt find a concierge. After a loud bumping an old lady came out. She was calling the concierge on the phone - although I was having a reservation (and fully paid for this night) there was nobody helping. I then got a room - but there was no hot water. In the morning they said that they won't have breakfast (although this was alo booked and paid via hotels.com). Then the concierge knocked on my door and wanted me to pay 500 Lei as they never had a deal with Hotels.com as she stated. I refused the payment and we had a nasty talk...I was asking to see the general manager, but that was impossible. It was a terrible night, a terrible situation and a horrible over all experience.....This place is a nightmare of its kind....I was scared and I was very upset with this experience. The room per se was ok, but it was not clean. If one has a very early bus transfer from Southern Bus Terminal you rather stay overnight in the city centre. The trolley bus 17 is connecting the bus terminal with downtown - so there is no need to stay in this place

I loved the design of the hotel. We were on a family trip, we had 2 apartments which were huge. Everything was clean. There is a parking lot as well. The hotel is located at the end of the city, it wasn’t a problem for us because we came here by car, but the distance to the city centre should by taken into consideration for someone who would use public transport/a taxi.

Upsides: * Decent furniture * Lobby looks good Downsides, oh boy...: * Only one sheet, for two people, to use as cover over night * Only one shower towel * The shower head holder was broken * No brushes to clean off dust, no slippers, no clothes hangers * Empty mini-bar * Spider web in the bathroom, guess it hasn't been properly cleaned in quite a while * 6 km away from the city center, in a really unattractive area of Chisinau * Slow wi-fi I can't possibly recommend it.
