There were some problems with the booked rooms so we lost a bit of time at the reception. The rooms are small and with little space for people and luggage, the breakfast is abundant and varied even if a bit similar to all the others. The location is excellent: inside the walls and close to the things to see and the beaches.

We absolutely loved this traditional Morrocan hotel. Lovely staff who are really friendly and speak English. Helpful with all aspects of bookings for trikes, horses and camels. We did the trikes and had such a fun time . The rooms are cool and spacious, comfy beds and clean bedding. There is a fridge but bring your own water. The hotel is placed in the Medina surrounded by all the shopping you will need and a ten minute walk to the beach. You must visit the harbour and buy fresh caught daily crayfish,langoustines and prawns. The sellers will arrange for the local barbecuers to cook them for you, sit at the tables with bread and lemons for an extra DM20. Dont be put off by the copious amounts of fish gut and cats it is truely an experience to remember as is the beautiful hotel and staff. If you want a true taste of Essaouira stay here, I’ll definitely return for the hospitality and the crayfish!!!

We had an excellent stay at the Riad Chakir. Nora is very professional and attentive to her clients. The entire staff is friendly. I recommend it without hesitation
