Les Trois Palmiers

Flew to here for a package holiday from a very well known holiday provider who I won't name yet as we are awaiting to see if they will reimburse us our hotel costs. Arrived 13th Feb 2026 to find the doors closed and a lone security guard inside. He told us the hotel has been closed for some weeks due to an issue between the owner and the government. Paid near £150 in taxi fees back and forth to the airport and £400 for another hotel and lost our 1st day as we had to sit for 5 hrs in the airport trying to speak to this holiday company who insisted it was open. Turns out the number they were ringing to co firm it was open eas a restaurant 303kms away in Rabat called Les Trois Palmiers. Ridiculous and sickening, ruined our whole holiday.

I had booked 7 nights in this hotel through an online travel agency. After several hours of flight, we took a taxi to the Hotel 3 Palmiers. When we arrived, to our surprise, it was completely dark outside. My spouse got out of the taxi to check in, while I stayed in the car with our sleeping child. We then learned that the hotel is permanently closed. We were never informed of this situation, either by the hotel or the travel agency. Being in a foreign country, at night, with a child, in front of a closed hotel, was extremely stressful. We had to look for and pay for another hotel in an emergency, after a long trip, which could have been avoided with a minimum of communication and professionalism. Very disappointing and unacceptable situation.

Unfortunately TripAdvisor only allows grades from 1 to 5 but, believe me if I could, I would have put minus 10. It was 6pm and we had just arrived at the hotel from the airport and after a long journey we wanted nothing more than to get in the room. The alleged hotel manager, a rude and unprofessional guy, refused our booking claiming that we had not paid enough and that they never sell rooms for less than €60 even though, in that case, I had booked through the Hostelworld platform for €30 per night. The same person in charge, wanted me to call the Hostelworld platform to make him pay his additional payment for the scam or pay it ourselves. Resomi account of the scam, I try to point out to him politely that I would not have done anything as the booking was guaranteed and that if from his point of view there was something to claim, he could do it directly with Hostelworld but, without my support. In the end, after two exhausting hours at the desk, without my consent he decides to cancel the reservation and leave us, basically, without a place to stay. Fortunately, I managed to find an alternative but, my evening plans changed and consequently also the mood. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AND ITS COLLABORATORS. Marrakech is a city with many hotels and I am sure you can find other solutions everywhere.
