Riad Al Andaluz

This Riad is very pleasant, quiet (mosque next door notwithstanding) and clean. The staff are helpful, and spoke enough English for me to get by. However, it is a reasonable walk to the Big Square, and navigating there can be a challenge. It is however near one of the gates in the walls of the Medina, so getting a taxi to external destinations is easy enough.

The riad is a cosy place in the middle of a busy and noisy souk. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but they dont speak english at all. Beautiful and warm rooms. The wifi and breakfast could be better.

First I thought it make no difference to write a review, but after reading the reviews I would like to share our experience with Riad Al Andaluz and especially with manager Cedric. We stayed 2 nights in the riad although we’ve booked and paid for 3 nights. After the second night manager Cedric came to us and told us we were part of an overbooking problem so we had to leave our room. To compensate us, he offered us a two day stay in another riad in the neighboorhood. At that moment we had no choice and took the offer. Before we left riad Al Andaluz in the afternoon we spoke to the receptionist. She told us that they received a booking request this morning for 6 nights. Cedric confirmed this reservation and we had to leave our room. We concluded that there was no double booking issue at all and that we were cheated by Cedric. We were very angry, felt cheated and left to the other riad. So never do business with Cedric as long as he is the “manager” for Al Andaluz.
