Riad Amiris

We had a great experience at Riad Amiris, the position is really central located and it is easy to find in the Medina, after you get there the first time. We were three girls alone and we never had trouble going home at night (we were never passed Midnight tough). The room is very nicely decorated as well as the all Riad. The staff is friendly and helpful, all our requests were accommodated and we got great advices on out to walk around and what to see. We even booked with them the camel ride and it was definitely a great experience! The dinner and breakfasts were superb even for me that I have 1000 allergies: the cook was able to make me delicious dishes. Highly recommended

-This place is below standard -The riad is very hard to find and not even in google maps appears -This place is nowhere close to the pictures you see on the websites. -Breakfast is very poor... not even the coffee is hot... - very very noisy -smoke smell in bed sheets - EVERY SINGLE DAY you have to ask for the basic staffs (toilet paper, towels...) - I'd booked through booking.com and it said credit card accepted. On the check-out I wanted to pay with my credit card, and they said that it's not possible, saying that "THE MACHINE IT'S NOT WORKING" the only choice that you have is pay by cash. Reading now other people reviews, I realize that they do this SCAM with everybody. There was a moment when he realised that I was really angry, he said "Don't worry I will talk with my boss to make you a better exchange rate" obviously it's all a LIE !!! The exchange rate at the Riad is RIDICULOUS, and the funniest part of all this, there was a moment I felt threatened. They said that there were others who missed flights because of this situation !!! We stayed here for 4 nights because of Valentine's Day and it was horrible Lack of clarity and in my opinion lying staff that run the establishment. IF YOU COME TO MARRAKECH, DON´T STAY HERE !!!

My partner and I arrived in Marrakech and were greeted by a lovely cab driver who transported us to and from the Riad. When we arrived, we were greeted by Aziza. She was so kind and informative, sitting us down and talking to us about all the best places to visit in the city. Throughout our stay, she was always wanting to help - what a wonderful host! Our room was absolutely spotless. It was beautifully decorated with rose petals and towels - honestly one of the most welcoming places we have ever stayed. Mouhsine was also an amazing host. He organised a beautiful trip to the Ouzoud waterfalls for us, at a very reasonable price. He also provided us with amazing service at dinner (crazy good food cooked by the chef Abdellatif) and even took the time out of his day to personally show us how to make Moroccan tea! Our trip would not have been the same with out Mouhsine - Thank you so much! If you're going to Marrakech/Medina, this is the best place to be for; location, staff, service and experience. Can't wait to come back!
